Trying to remember what time previous major software releases began to appear. Was it midnight Cupertino time or closer to morning time. At least, playing with ios4 for a few weeks will take the sting out of having to wait a few more weeks for iPhone4 release in some countries
 
if you're that anxious to get iOS4 why don't you just download it right now? If you search youtube you can find a video walking you through the process. With the GM you don't need your phone registered with apple for it to work. I tried this last week and it worked perfectly and I'm not a developer.

Considered that but I'm a bit paranoid about something going wrong. Need my phone big time for my business. Don't mind waiting at all, just curious what time it might be available
