So I was using limewire earlier today and then quit it. Then just now I tried to start it up again and the little icon in the dock started bouncing up and down the little wedge appears and *poof* the application goes away. Not really sure why or how. But I can't seem to get the program to run a second time without restarting my computer. What the heck?

first troubleshooting tip is always to rebuild permissions.

go to apps -> utilities -> disk utility

click your startup drive, click repair permissions, restart.

Software check:

Have the latest operating system installed: 10.2.6
Have the most recent version of Limewire: 3.0.2

If you pass this test, try reinstalling the latest version of Limewire. If not, update first.

Alternatives:
Acquisition: Easy to run, free to use as long as you let a registration window bug you for every 45 minutes you have Acquisition running

XNap: Medium to run, easy to set-up, many files, poor interface

MLdonkey: Complex documentation, a large selection of files, runs in your browser window
