Limit on the Notes App?

Hey everyone!

I noticed today while typing in notes app that towards the end of my page where I was typing after clicking "done" the notes did not save. I thought this was a glitch but after trying over and over and searching forums. I believe there is a limit of characters in the notes app?

Is this true? and if so, is there a way to bypass it rather than starting a new note?
