Limit size of emails or attachments

Is there a way to limit the size of emails or attachments?
I have several friends who feel compelled to email HUGE jokes with countless pictures. It is annoying because it is delaying emails I get from work and others.

How about asking them not to send that crap, or if they won't, just block sender?

The first suggestion is an option, the second is not.
Yes, I have considered that but have held off on doing that. I don't want to enhance my reputation that I have begun to acquire in the isphere.
