Limit the percentage of disk Time Machine uses?

I just bought a one-terabyte Time Capsule. Can I limit Time Machine to use half the disk? I'm also using it for file storage.

I just bought a one-terabyte Time Capsule. Can I limit Time Machine to use half the disk? I'm also using it for file storage.

You can partition the disk in disk utility. I have two Macs that are using Time Machine. On each one, I took the disk and partitioned it giving Time Machine 100 GB of space. This way, you still have allot of space to use for other things.

You can partition a disk even if there are already files stored on it and be able to keep them.
