Privacy -> photos -> some apps will have private access and some will have limited access. How are those two types of permission different?
 
From my understanding, Private Access means the app uses system provided photo picker, it shows the entire photo library, but the app will only receive photo data when you selected and confirmed.

Limited Access means if you selected a few photos, those photos will be exposed to the app all the time. Non-selected photos in library are not accessible from the app.
