There is a limited ammount of apps for the new Retina Display. The only good one I saw was the new Angry Birds Space. Do you think developers are actually working on new versions for the new iPad retina display?

Modern combat 3 has got retina graphics, it's a 1.8gb game

Kinda stupid how even on iPad first gen with no retina display it has to download the full retina images.

Atleast 75% of the Apps on my iPad have been optimized for the new iPad. Not sure what kind of apps you are downloading.

No, I'm sure no developers are working on retina versions of their apps. Apple only sold a measly three million devices in 96 hours, why would devs waste time when there's clearly no market?

/sarcasm

A lot of my most often used apps have been updated to take advantage of the better display. It will just keep getting better.

Theres a section in the app store for retina ipad apps and there isnt many

Completely agree with u. For iPad 1 and 2 users, it's just waste of space. But there is and won't be any solutions to that. Unless u don't update your softwares..

Are you serious?

No, the developers know about the new retina display but are choosing not to update their apps to support it. They would rather the users suffer from an inferior experience. This is one of those questions that people are talking about when they say there are no dumb questions.

your math is a bit off.

Do you mean 0.075% of all ipad apps have been optimized for the new ipad?

if so, you are correct.

I have 94 apps. 68 of them have been updated for the new display. I have had countless app updates come through the app store in the last 9 days. YMMV, but that is my experience. No need for snarky remarks.

It takes time to program software. The app developers have had what 9 days now to enhance their apps? Patience is required here. I am actually surprised how many retina apps are already available.

Not even 9 days. Some will have submitted their updates days ago and are still waiting for the Apple approval process.

Most developers will update apps. Some will have deadlines for current project before they can update existing apps, so don't expect everything to be updated straight away. But you will probably have noticed the number of app updates that are coming through at the moment. The Apple review process is full of apps being updated for the new iPad.
