Its also so confusing!

Is there a single web page detailing each one, which handset etc.

I'm buying a UK iPhone from Apple so unlocked, I just want to JB it.

If you're using a SIM-Free from Apple, you can jailbreak just fine using limera1n or GreenPoison, take your pick however I have personally used limera1n and had no troubles. My iPhone 4 was bought from Apple SIM-Free too.

PwnageTool isn't just an unlock tool, I JB my iPhone 4 to 4.1 with it and it let me keep my 4.0.1 baseband.
 
I am a bit confused as well. Which one is the best one for jailbreaking your Iphone 4??
 
There is an outdated flow chart on this site, maybe it will be updated.

I also maintain one along with a program comparison.
