hey guys, was reseting my iphone and noticed this. Its weird, once its all booted up, the line goes away. downloaded a solid black and a solid white wallpaper if it shows up, but nothing. it seems to only show up during the boot up sequence. do you guys think apple would swap it or would they just say, you see it only when you reset the phone, live with it.

I get the same EXACT screen when rebooting/respringing my phone. I wouldn't exchange it. My reasoning? If anything else happens to your phone later on you can use that as an excuse to exchange your phone.

Call AppleCare (you have 90 days since phone purchased) and explain the issue. They will probably go through troubleshooting and they will set up an appointment to the closest Apple Store or they will send you a new phone in the nail.

My 3GS did that, after I did the new jailbreak (I've got a new iPhone 4 so I can screw around with my 3GS now). Did you jailbreak yours?

Listen here, if you jailbroke your iPhone(4-3G) you will have those lines, I have em on my 3G. They are there because of the Comex Safari jailbreak, so don't worry.

Apple employees would know your phone was jailbroken and they would deny u a warranty replacement, and might even make a note on ur iPhone's serial number so that you can't get a replacement in the future.
