Line out AND Digital optical out at the same time

Hello all,

Im have a mac pro and im trying to use the optical digtial fibre cable to feed digital audio to my stereo at the same time as my line out output feeds audio to my computer speakers. is this possible?

in other words... i want to simultaneously run to my computer speakers via line out and to my stereo via optical out. right now i can do one or the other. is there a program or something to combine them? i want to be able to keep my computer speakers on and when i want to use the stereo speakers i want it to work without switching.

Maybe. You could try setting up an aggregate device in Audio Midi Setup. Click at the top menu bar and see if it will let you enable both.
