Lines on iPad Mini springboard

Zoom in to the top there are about 4 lines why are they there ? Help please

I can't see anything either. Other than a likely jailbroken device which will get sent home to be restored to the correct software before Apple will do anything.

The lines are right above the top of the first row of icons. I had to zoom in on the image to see them. They are faint, but they're there.

FWIW, the last Genius I spoke with regarding jailbreaking said they will just restore it in store to do any testing on, they won't send you home. (This came up because he was testing his jailbroken device against my stock one which prompted me to ask him about jailbroken devices in the store.)
