lines on screen with hdmi 1080 content from cable

so i recently had hdmi wiring ran to wall mount the tv and we are noticing some green lines on hd channels from the cable box. it wasn't there prior to mounting, and isn't there on a standard def/digital channel. also does not appear when watching via apple tv. could this be a problem with our cable provider, or could it be possible i crimped the hd cord behind the tv (very tight fit as i opted for the flush mount for a clean look) and caused some disturbance in the signal? out of town at the moment, but plan to change cables out tomorrow when we return and see if that provides a fix before i consider changing cable providers.
