iPhone envy

Hey all,

I just got a new car, a 2010 Honda fit. There appears to be two ways I can connect my 3G phone to the standard built-in stero: Either via an AUX cord as there is a jack hole on the console, or via a built in USB cord in my glovebox. The latter is appealing because its builtin and has a seperate little dashborad glovebox just for your ipod/iphone.

That said, I have a couple of questions for the knowlege base out there:

1 - is there a diffrence in quality between AUX and going through a USB connection? I dont have an AUX cable so I haven't tested that out yet.

2 - When I tried using the USB port it played music, but locked out my ipod controlls and the built in Honda unit seemingly didn't allow for easy controll of songs. It just put the songs in alpha order and played them one by one. Also, I got the "this isn't made for iphone" message but I ignored it. Is there away to enable control of the ipod menus through the phone when hooked up to the USB, or is it locked into the radio controlls?

If it matters, my phone is up to date with updates.

Thanks all
