Is it possible to disable the link previews? Whenever I past an URL in the mail client, it shows a preview of the website. I find this very annoying!

Hover your mouse over the preview in Mail, a small drop-down arrow will appear to the side of the preview. Click that and choose Convert to Plain Link. (see screenshot below)

They really should make Link Previews an option in the preferences.

Thanks for your reply! I was wondering if there would be an option to disable it, so I don't have to do this every time. I guess there is no such option..

I've sent the request for a Preference option for this using the Feedback app. I would suggest anyone else that wants that capability to do the same. Apple doesn't read web forums (even their own), but they do read their Feedback/Radar messages.

This is so annoying and could potentially lead to unwanted loading of data and privacy issues. Let's say it's a link to a page that shows a password and it's only shown once. Now the preview ruins it.

A workaround is to put some text before the URL on the same line, it seems to prevent the preview fetching. But it should most definitely be a setting. And no, turning of all formatting is not a good solution.
