Link problem

I have iphone 4, wife and I have had iphones 3 years. I tried emailing her several web links from the web site and she didn't receive them. I messaged them to her and she got them. Turns out I can't even mail to myself or anyone. I can open gmail account and send or receive anything or anyone can send me links I just cant mail forward web links from the web site. thanks kent
