whats that site where you type in the link to a web app and it creates an app that you can put on your home screen? been searching everywhere but cant find it.

that's impossible for a web app to do. (with the current firmware)
 
no its defintely for all firmware.
you go to a site in safari (on mac or pc) and type in the link of a web app eg iphone.facebook.com, add an icon if you want and it creates an application. then ssh into the iphone and place the file downloaded into the applications directory.
 
you can do it on jailbroken iphone or there is sites that create an online homepage you can add links to, are you thinking of either of these?

I have seen this before its not firmware its a web app that looks like the iPhone springboard. You can set it up so that all your web apps link from there and set different icons for different web apps.
 
NOTE:

You must have the ability to get applications onto your iPhone. This includes jailbreak or ssh or whatever other method exists when you read this.
