Linking mail between MacBook, iPad and iPhone?

I want to be able to delete an email off of my iPhone and for it to also delete it off of my iPad and MacBook at the same time, so I don't have to clear my inbox on three separate devices. Is this possible? If so, how?

If you are using an IMAP mail provider it should do just that.
