linking mbp and imac

hello all, I'm new here.

My girlfriend has a 24" imac and I have a 15" mbp, I wanted to know if there is a way to link them together, mainley to use the imac as a secondary monitor along with the mpb monitor at the same time, for more room to edit photos, etc...

Sadly to my knowledge you are not able to do that, the iMac does not have input ports. I think there are some third party adapters that you could purchase, though.
