I love technology!!!
So over the past few months my 3-4 year old panasonic dect 6.0 cordless landline phone has been dying on me to the point where it wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few minutes. I knew i could probably just replace the batteries, however I was in an electronics store just looking around and came across this product:
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-...2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282572856&sr=8-2
It was on sale for $70 and so on impules I bought it. Well I get home and much to my surprise it says I can connect my bluetooth cell phone to it to not only download my iphone contacts but also to take and make calls from my iphone via its bluetooth connection. The connection only took a few seconds, and I had a friend call my cell. Bam, my new cordless phone rang. I was also able to place a call through my cell signal via the cordless phone. Pretty cool i thought, and wow, how technology has progressed.
The coolest thing though was that there was a setting in the cordless phone that allows it to ring with whatever ring tone was set in the cell phone. And it worked beautifully. also, speaks the name of the person identified in caller id or the number itself so i don't have to look at the cordless handset to identify who's calling.
Mucho awesome.
