Working in an advertising agency where 3 pcs running windows seven one running windows XP (as a file server), the network works seamlessly connected via cables to a switch, recently added an iMac to this structure, we had no problem to add it to the network, it accesses hds windows

The question is as follows:

We work with Adobe Illustrator, program that uses LINKS to insert images within the Workspace. (Explaining: while playing one image inside the workfile, she does not get itself in file, you creates a link that always reloads the original file).

Okay, so far, the links were all appointed in a way that any of these computers (PCs) could be accessed through network drives on the server (example: / / servidor/serviços/2012 / ...) when I open the file illustrator in the iMac, it can not axar the same way that windows uses.

I need some form of create a link to any one of these computers in network of form "universal", some path that can be accessed both in Mac as in Windows.

Does changing the Linux server to solve the problem? if so which one to use?
