Im running iOS 5 GM and clicking on links inside of posts opens a new tab but nothing comes on the screen. Oddly clicking on posts in any board works fine, just clicking on a link inside a post, like a link to an article or a YouTube video. Copying the link and pasting it into the address bar takes me to the site as expected.

Any ideas?

I saw this bug in a few betas but it's still present in the GM. The workaround I use is to go back to your previous tab, then the new tab will load in the background. Definitely odd.

same here and switching between tabs can get laggy as well. I guess I'm going back to atomic until this is fixed. Safari is awesome otherwise. Very fast and the bookmark bar works great.

I also noticed this.

It must have something to do with the broken "Open new tabs in background" setting. Which if I remember correctly works just as long as you don't ever switch it to off. Once switched, changing it back does nothing.

Can report this is still an issue in the public release (same as GM I know, but just sayin).

REALLY annoying.

*EDIT* I can't seem to reproduce the issue anywhere but macrumors. Anyone else?

Yep, still there and incredibly annoying. Not sure how on earth this got by the testers, since it's something I encountered with 5 minutes of using iOS 5.

I found when clicking an external link if I just hold it and manually select open in new tab it works just fine. Definitely sucks though.

IPad2 issues with tabs

Im having issues in web pages with opening tabs/links. One wep page in particular; my online banking. Is this a iPad problem or issue with my online banking web page?

Thank you in advance,
Wayne
