What am I doing wrong. Before installed the N broadband router last night been getting very fast internet connection through my Cox cable box and ethernet cable. Installed the new router and configured it and the wireless speed to laptop in other room is great (so wireless works). But I thought I would use ethernet cable connection from the router to the iMac for faster connection---well with the wired connection from router to iMac--speed is terribly slow. So removed ethernet connection to go wireless to iMac--and speed jumped way up---BUT NOT AS Fast as it was without router and connected straight to cable. What am I doing wrong?

Ethernet cable could be faulty. Also, update the firmware on your router. If that doesn't work, we might have to look at reconfiguring your network settings on your iMac.
