Hey

I'm new to the mac world, I just recently bought a Mac Mini, latest update.

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 wired router.

When I try to plug the Mac Mini in the computer it doesn't even recognize the cable connected.

I'm 100% sure it's not the cable, I tested the same exact configuration with a PC and it works #1.
I'm 100% sure also it's not the Mac, I tried putting the same cable directly into the modem (not going through the router) and in the mac and it works...

My question is : is there some known issues with a Mac Mini and the Linksys BEFSR41 router?
Can I do something to solve the problem with this router?

Thanks a lot!

Oh yeah... I never thought about that...

I try this tonight!

Thanks!

New Mac Mini ethernet "cable Unplugged" problem

My new Mac Mini always shows the BEFSR41 router port as "Cable Unplugged".
The cable thats working on my old mac mini is simply plugged into the new mac mini. The Linksys router shows the three flashing leds indicating cable connectivity but thats all. It works ok when plugged directly into the modem output.

Linksys check all my settings are ok. Same router port runs with 2007 Intel mac mini, two PCs running Xp and Vonage phone and Mac G4 OS9.9.1. I have exhausted help from Linksys, "Just Ask" and Apple help line. The mac mini works ok on their store router port.

Any suggestions are welcome,:(
