so i've got two computers i want to hook up to my linksys wrt54g router.

one iBook running 10.3. connected to the router wirelessly and currently working flawlessly.

one G3 imac running OS 9.2 connected to the router via ethernet. i can't get any connection or even get to the linksys configuration screen.

can anyone help?

On your iMac, go to [Apple Menu]>Control Panels>TCP/IP. Choose DHCP as your protocol. Get all of your configuration settings from the server. Exit TCP/IP and restart it to ensure that it has captured an IP address and configuration set.
 
thanks for your help. i knew it had something to do with the tcp/ip control panel but couldn't get the right combo (i had PPP and DHCP instead of Ethernet/DHCP).

everything's running perfectly now.
