Linksys Router WRT54GS keeps timing out after Lion upgrade

Since I upgraded to Lion, I keep losing wifi and the internet if my iMac hasn't been used for a while v frustrating indeed....
I have to switch off my router then put the mains plug back in again. Then it all works!!
Contacted Applecare , prob not solved!! Apple usually is so goooood!!!!
I now regret paying for the upgrade , want me money back!!
Looks like a reinstall of SNOW LEOPARD which worked perfectly, why did I do this?????
Will there be a fix for this?
Can anyone help ???
