Hi,

I have a Linksys E3000 router.

I have recently purchased an Apple TV and new iPad with the hopes of using Airplay but Airplay doesn't pick up anywhere in my house. The Apple TV doesn't even pick up my iMac's homesharing.

Everything is on the same network.

From what I've gathered through google, this has something to do with my router not allowing Airplay to work because of ports (or something beyond my comprehension level). I've accessed the linksys settings through putting my IP address into my browser but I don't know what to do once I get there.

Can anyone help me put in the proper settings so I can enjoy wireless connectivity between my devices?

Thank you!

Just to be a little more clear, although I have good signal and internet connectivity, the Airplay icon is nowhere to be found, not in the multitasking tray or in any apps. It just doesn't ever show up.

Thank you!

Thought my firmware was up to date but I was wrong.

You're the best.
