Can anyone tell me if there is a virtual machine out there I can run Linux next to my mac and use macs facetime camera as a webcam or is there a way that I can Dual - Boot Linux? I tried to add it to a virtual machine with VirtualBox but was unable to use a web came with it.I don't want to use Parallels because I find it not good software should I want to replace it. to get rid of all the deletable folders TIA.

You can use disk utillity to free up space for a new partition. You can then use the installer from the distro of your choice to partion the free space as Linux-friendly partitions. You might want to do some researche beforehand to check if the distro you want supports your webcam. The installation process will vary from Mac to Mac. Dual boot will give better performance, but you will have to reboot every time you need to change OS.

I have in the past managed to install both Ubuntu and Fedora on my Mac. Didn´t need my webcam, so I never tested that though.

Getting the Macbook webcams to work is a major problem with Linux. I've had Linux on many different Macbooks and the only ones that had the webcam work with Linux were the 2013 and 2014 Air.
