Linux on Core 2 Mini?

Hello,

I got an old Core 2 Duo MacMini to whom I updated the CPU to a faster one, not to throw it away I thought of trying and install some Linux distro to find out about it, is there any particular (free) distribution you'd suggest for such an old platform?
