I have a question about installing Linux Mint on my 2006 iMac. I have tried saving the .iso and .img to a flash drive, but it isn't bootable, and I have also tried burning the .iso and .img to a DVD (a different DVD for each one). The disc info on the DVDs in Finder shows that they ARE bootable discs, but alas, my computer will not boot them to install Linux Mint. I have tried booting with "option" being pressed as well as holding "c" while booting and running the Boot Camp Assistant. I am getting nowhere. Any suggestions?
