linux tablet as secondary display?

Check this out - using a nokia N800/810 as a secondary display in XP/Vista.

Does anyone know if this would work on a mac, and if so, how would I go about it? It would be cool to get this working on my mac mini, so I can still do some things without needing the TV (which its connected to) switching over.

A better prospect might be a cheap displaylink monitor. I know OS X drivers are available.

I already have an n800 lying around doing nothing pracitcal. I'd like it to eg display email, maybe weather, photos - widgety stuff.

It has a VNC client available - is there any way to set up a second display on a macbook pro solely for use with VNC (so no actual physical 2nd display attached)?

Screenrecycler uses VNC to share monitors. You mac's and you run VNC on one of them, and you can use the computer with the VNC as a dual display. just google screenrecycler. They have videos on their website.
