Hi guys...Ok, I am almost new to the Apple world and I past the last week to figure out this problem. I searched about it and I found a lot of information but not really what I need. I hope somebody can answer my questions.

I was able to join my Macbook to my domain. I can see the Mac in the computers group in AD and I see a green dot in the login option under Group and users.

Now, am I able to login with an AD account into my Macbook?

At the login screen I see a yellow dot in the account name field with a hint "Some network account are available".
I try to login but doesn't work. I am trying with the classic form <DOMAIN_NAME>\<USER_NAME>.
No errors, nothing. Just it stops to think.

Anyway what are the pros to login with an AD account into a Mac?

Without it I can mount network folders and I should be able to manage AD from the directory editor without login with an AD account. This is the second problem, directory editor doesn't work.

If I try users in the viewing field and my domain ( there is another option, all domains. Tried without success) in the node field, then click on padlock trying to insert username e password (I suppose the domain administrator) it gives back error 5000 "Credential could not be verified, username or password is invalid". But they are correct.
Any advice?

Thanks.
