I just downloaded Lion today and I feel like such a dunce. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open the attachments that are in an email.
I can see them up top, but in the preview window it only shows one, my signature jpg. I have checked the "Viewing" under Preferences, and the "Display remote images" is checked; I've also tried opening the FILE => Quick Look Attachments (sometimes I can see them, sometimes not) Forget saving them, nothing saves. If I try to open them in Preview, Mail crashes. I've also tried rebuilding and restarting, that doesn't work either. I've been a mac user for years and never have any issues I couldn't figure out (or google to figure out).
