I know this has been brought up before but nothing I've found has been able to cure my ill's. I haven't used headphones on my macbook Pro since I upgraded to Lion until this morning. I used an old pair of Bose and the regular ones that come with iPods. No worky!
The sound keep coming through the internal speakers whether I have the headphones plugged in or not. I've made sure the jack is pushed all the way in as far as it will go and like I stated I've tried more than one pair.
The strange thing about it is if I plug in my Bose sound dock into the headphone jack it works just fine. No problem.
I've read to go to utilities>audio midi setup and change the built-in-output from 2-24 bit integer to 2-32 (or anything other than 2-24). Firstly, there is no 2-32 bit integer showing up. Secondly none of the other settings fixes the issue anyway.
Bummed! Any ideas?
