Lion Boot Disk with a new iMac?

Hi guys

I notice Lion does not come on physical media as yet (though will be available on USB in the near future). I am about to buy a new iMac - if it ships with Lion but no disk, how do I boot it in future if I decide to format the computer or run into any other difficulties?

Sorry if this has already been covered but I could not find the answer through searching.
