I made a boot disk onto a sd card for 10.8.3. When I went to install with it, my mac said could not install osx please install osx, or something to that like that. Is there a different method to making a ml boot dish that works?

Using a USB drive.

Thats the method I have always used.

So you think the problem is the sd card ?
I used it because I don't have a big enough thumb drive.

You can find 8gb memory sticks for like 5-10 dollars these days and that will work great.

I don't think you can install from an SD card.
