Hi,

I was downloading Lion and the little download icon was dragged to the desktop and "poofed" in a cloud of smoke. The Mac App store says it is downloading- WHERE the heck is it?

Thanks!

Nothing shows up in search or under mac hd>applications

Go to your application Folder. There should be a new icon called "Install Mac OS X Lion" with a blue, loading bar. Drag it to the Dock.

It's not there. Well, I guess I'll give it a few hours and see if the download magically shows up...

Pretty sure it was in:

~/Library/Application Support/App Store/

But I don't see the directory "App Store" in Lion. You can check the progress under "Purchased" in the app store.

For mine, it went to the dock and was downloading, and then didn't appear in any folder and I couldn't find it under search. Yet, when it finished downloading, I found it until the applications folder, and the search.
