Hi all, i'm using Lion GM with clean install and i would like to ask a question:

When i open my user folder i see another folder called Applications, and it's empty. But when i click the folder Applications in the Finder favorites bar it opens the folder Applications of my Macintosh HD.

Why is there 2 Applications folders?

Where is the better place to put my apps? Users/myuser/Applications or Macintosh HD/Applications ?

Thank you

I forgot to say that the folder with all my apps is the Macintosh HD one.

If you want everyone(all users) to have access to the apps, install in Macintosh HD/Applications

If you only want the application accessible to the one user, install in /users/Username/Applications.
With that being said, most apps default to Macintosh HD/Applications.
