Lion iCal not starting up minimized

I've set mail and iCal to start up minimized when I start my Macbook Air (2010). In SL, this worked flawlessly. However, after upgrading to Lion, only mail starts up minimized, whereas iCal starts up opened. I don't see any further options that should prevent iCal from starting up minimized. Any ideas?
