Partitioned a 16GB USB Flash Drive into 3 partitions - Journaled - GUID
(Doing this from Snow Leopard, Disk Utility)

One for Snow Leopard at 6.5GB one for Lion 5.02GB and a 3rd just cause theres room (Not sure what ML takes, haven't bought the release yet)

Nearly finished restoring Install to Partition for Lion, then stopped and said it 'Failed.... couldn't allocate memory'

Any ideas???????

Nobody? Third fail, and this time with only one partition - freshly erased

I'm at a loss here.....

Flash Drive is BRAND NEW.... only a few hours old.

I bought two, I suppose I could try the other one, but I'm thinking that's not it.

This one is functioning fine for everything else... mounting copying pasting deleting etc.... so I really don't think it has to do with the drive

(Tried from Leopard too, so 4 fails)
