Every so often Lion changes my default Finder view to this:

It's getting annoying having to delete my dock preferences everytime this happens. Does anybody know what is causing this or a quicker way to fix it?

Check your Finder prefs, 'General pane'. That looks like what I get for a new Finder window when I set New Finder Windows Show: 'My computername'.

Thank you, that worked. I still think it's a bug. "My MacBook Pro" is where I want the default place for the Finder to open up in, but it shouldn't one day show me one view then randomly decide to switch it up on me and give me the other view.

Same problem

I am getting same finder default error, also many times when my iMac starts, it shows 'firmware' installation type gray progress bar at startup.. after that i have to restart again to make my wacom work. else it doesnt.
