I had upgraded to a corsair 8 GB memory (newegg) last week and since yesterday my kernel_task is using more than 300% CPU. My MBP is unusable, however, when I log into safe mode the CPU is again back to 2-3%.
I reset PRAM, seemed to be back down normal but after i put the laptop to sleep and woke up this morning, its again back to over 300% of CPU usage.
The only thing I can think of is the new Ram but it does work in safe mode so any idea ?
