Hi,

When I open a mail conversation in Lion Mail, it shows the whole history of messages. However, it always opens somewhere halfway, while of course I'm most interested in seeing the newest message first. Now I have to scroll manually to the top.

I have looked through all preferences and menus but am unable to find where I can change that.
Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Many thanks,
Stijn

It should take you to the first unread message in the conversation

If I have 5 messages in a conversation, and 5 new messages come in overnight, it will take me to msg 6 and I scroll up to read the other new ones

if another one comes in after i have read these it will show message 11 straight away (the top one as I have read the others)

if you scroll quickly to the top, then it doesn't get chance to mark previous ones as read, so will go back to them next time

if yours is just randomly taking you to the middle of the conversation (and msgs don't have the blue dot to say new, then this sounds like a bug that needs reporting to apple)
