Hope this is the correct place to put my question - I am new to the forum, and new to Lion also!

I have just set up my mail on my new Lion machine, and although the new set up is unfamiliar to me, there are a few issues which I cannot for the life of me figure out.

When setting up the account the computer presumed my incoming and outgoing mail info, which appears to be correct, but I cannot understand how it knew them. It is also calling my account name 'blue yonder', which I haven't asked it to or even used before. I am with BlueYonder, but my account usually goes by my own name.

There is also a mailbox called 'google mail' which is unfamiliar to me, as I have no mail accounts with google. I tried to delete this box without success, and the box says it contains thousands of messages unopened, yet when I try to look at them nothing appears. I really do not want anything google related attached to my account and would like to know why it is there and how to get shut of it.

When I send a message to someone it is coming back to me, as if I had emailed myself. There are also currently 10445 messages incoming, which is terrifying - is it collecting every email I have ever received with blue yonder?
How do I stop it doing that, because my inbox is overwhelming?

Any help with regards to the sent messages returning to me would be appreciated. I am new to Lion and previously used Leopard.

Thanks.
