Lion Menu Bar Stalling?!?!

Does anyone else have this problem? I am running that latest version of Lion on a new iMac I purchased last year.

When I turn on my computer the menu bar is unresponsive, I cannot click on any of the icons including WiFi, volume level, date and time. I get the spinning ball when I hover my mouse over it. It's about 10 minutes before I can use it!

Any ideas?

Check your login items. There's probably something launching automatically (in the background) that is slowing everything down.

Thank you, I have had a look and I don't think that is the problem. It has only started happening since I installed Lion.
