Lion Migration Assistant not working

I am having a problem using the windows migration assistant. I am trying to get the files from my dell inspiron e1505 to my new macbook pro.

I am using the migration assistant and I am getting the passcode on my macbook but the code never appears on my dell. I was with apple support for over hour but it didnt bear any fruit.

Idk what the problem is my mac can find my pc but my pc cant find my mac.

I have yet to run it, since my coworkers have found that the migration assistant is very basic, and transferring stuff manually is more effective, but here's a wild guess:

Firewalls? Antivirus acting as a firewall?
