Lion need 2gb memory

SO i just tried to install the latest developer version of Lion and it says it needs 2 gb of memory, where as the past versions of lion only needed 1gb.

Whats that all about?
and im guessing i will need to upgrade to more memory for it coming out

As a developer you should know better than to run a modern OS on 1GB of RAM.
