Lion Server Server.app Permissions

I seem to be unable to launch the Server.app using the credentials of a network user. Is this something that is possible? Do I need to keep a "local admin" account active on my server to administer it?

I've checked my own server and currently I'm unable to log in an OD user via server.app either. I manually added the user via Server Admin to have administrative rights to the server, and still no dice.

You should be able to use the Network account, but I have had no such luck myself. I am having to use a local account to login to the server to Administer it. I found this doucment to be helpful:

Check out the section
Lion Server User Management -> Manage users and groups -> About accounts -> About user accounts. Then read the section on Network accounts, they should be able to connect, but it does mention that local directory accounts cannot login.

So if you are able to login to the server with a network account, that is one step better than me.

I am logged into the server with a network account as we speak. I can perform other administrative tasks on this machine using this account, I just cannot authenticate to the Server.app. I also seem to be unable to add this account to the FileVault users. Future functionality perhaps?
