Lion: System setting for font size

Hi all,

Does any lion user here knows if there is a global setting, to increase font size?

I know there is command + plus to do so in safari and most other apps. But it's not a system wide setting.

Reason is, I have a 27" display, and due to it's native resolution, font sizes are extremely small in certain apps. Like mail.app, the fonts for the mail folders on the left side of the app are extremely small. They're not changeable through the command + plus key option.
