Hello everybody !

I just updated from Lion to Mountain Lion, and i have a big problem with my finder :

When i open the finder, i have a window with no sidebar anymore, if i click on option + cmd + S it don't show de sidebar and even if i go to view / show Sidebar i can't click on it.

Also, when i open a folder it always open it in a new window.

BUT when i open my shortcut folders on the dock (for applications, documents etc), i have my sidebar and finder as it was on Lion.

What is the problem ? and how to find back my finder as i wanted ? I tried as it is advised to delete the plist files of the finder and sidebar but no result...

Thanks a lot !

Check if you have Show Toolbar off. Same place as where you select Show Sidebar. Show Toolbar must be on to show the Sidebar.
