Hey guys, I need some help.
So last week I upgraded my mac from Snow Leopard to Lion. I was kind of dissatisfied because some of my apps weren't working, so I decided to downgrade back from Lion to Snow Leopard.
I restarted my computer, held "c", had the original snow leopard disc in the drive > erased my hard drive thru utilities > installed snow leopard > then migrated my files from a time machine backup.
So instead of everything working properly, a lot of OS X apps like iTunes and Mail and even Safari give me the "Software cannot be opened because of a problem" Check with the developer to make sure Mail works with this version of Mac OS X. I tried restoring the apps from older time machine backups but no dice. It's like my applications are stuck in a limbo between Lion and Snow Leopard. It's mindf***ing me pretty well at the moment.
I've updated my computer to the point where it says there are no more updates > quit, as well, but nothing seems to work.
Anyways, I'm trying to upgrade BACK to Lion in hopes it will somehow magically make things work again. But to make matters even worse, the problem stated above is also affecting my App Store app. So I have no way to even access Lion anymore. And with Software update as maxed out as possible I can't download a new App Store app.
Well, that's my situation. The title sums it up, but it's really a drag. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
